ABC adds two new staffers

Teamwork, collaboration, and partnerships are a big part of how we operate at ABC. Our small staff makes our efforts go further by working with volunteers, community members, and other organizations. That's part of why we're so excited to announce our two latest hires - Communications & Outreach Manager Jordyne Krumroy and Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator Haydée Santana! Both women bring a passion for outreach and engagement to ABC, along with great experience and connections. What's more, they've both volunteered and worked with us in other roles in the past - Haydée with bike valet and volunteers, Jordyne with bike tours and classes, and so they already know us and are familiar with the Atlanta bicycle advocacy scene. Please help us welcome them to our full-time staff!

ABC_Photo-Staff-HSantana-Square_20160205.pngCommunity Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator Haydée Santana is inspired by the power of active transportation to connect us with our city, its communities and with each other. She began working with our volunteers in Spring of 2015 through our Bike Valet program and later through Atlanta Streets Alive. In her current role, Haydée draws from an extensive background in marketing and communications as well as from her leadership of member- and volunteer-driven organizations where she has a history of forging relationships and fostering engagement.

Haydée enjoys walking and running around Grant Park or hiking trails with Riley, her Great Danebull, and you’ll often find her exploring Atlanta’s neighborhoods and urban treasures by bike.

Communications & Outreach Manager Jordyne Krumroy brings a passion for community organizing and advocacy to improve transportation equity. Previously, Jordyne was the Community Engagement & Marketing Manager for Nicholas House, a homeless shelter in Atlanta. Her background in immigrant advocacy led her to complete her Master of Social Work, where she partnered with ABC to create a bicycle transportation program for refugees. With a belief that bike transportation can improve mental and physical health, as well as social and economic opportunity, Jordyne is committed to ensuring that transportation advocacy is led by a collective of many diverse voices. You’ll find her biking to community discussions and events throughout the city, shopping at the farmers market, playing with her ridiculously cute dog, and cooking with family and friends.
