Our Results

  • Atlanta City Council responded to proposed ATLDOT budget cuts FY 2024 budget by $12M, with $1M allocated to each district, focusing on resurfacing and safety improvements, including ADA repairs and crosswalk enhancements.
  • 3+ miles of protected bike lanes in Downtown Atlanta, including a very high-quality facility on MLK Jr Dr. and earlier-than-expected completion of the Central Ave bike lane. 
  • Advocated for infrastructure improvements leading to new section of the Trolley Line Trail and safety improvements on DeKalb Ave
  • Fatal Crash Investigation Commission approved June 20, 2023; Propel ATL Executive Director nominated to the commission
  • Zoning changes for pedestrian safety in BeltLine neighborhoods
  • Established the Atlanta Transit Coalition in partnership with MARTA Army, Southern Environmental Law Center, Partnership for Southern Equity, the Sierra Club of Georgia, the Statewide Independent Living Council of Georgia, and NRDC
  • Revived Atlanta Streets Alive for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic as an official City of Atlanta initiative
  • In 2023, served a total of 447 people through our bike classes and programs including Bike Family, True Beginners, and City Cycling
  • Drafted a racial equity framework outlining our approach to upholding this priority in our advocacy, program development, and day-to-day operations
  • Expanded our Walk ATL program to support two communities in creating safer pedestrian environments.
  • Identified streets for shaded walk routes to transit and created a new partnership with Trees Atlanta to prioritize these corridors for plantings
  • Initiated an e-bike subsidy program to make these vehicles more affordable
