Why is bike parking important?

Makes biking easier

Convenient, visible bike parking gives people a place to securely leave their bikes when they arrive at a business, neighborhood, or destination.

Supports healthy streets

More people biking can mean fewer short car trips, helping reduce traffic and support cleaner, more sustainable streets.

Welcomes more customers

Bike parking makes businesses and destinations more accessible to people arriving by bike, while adding a visible amenity to the street.
