Atlanta Bicycle Coalition’s mission is to transform Atlanta into a more livable, accessible city by making biking equitable, safe, and appealing.
To help promote understanding and awareness of the proper use of bicycle routes, bicycle lanes, multi-use trails, and learn how vehicles share public space within the City of Atlanta, the City Solicitor’s Office, in collaboration with the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, developed a Diversion Program to provide education on bicycle safety and traffic laws for both drivers and bicyclists.
The two-hour class is offered every other month on the fourth Thursday* from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Committee Room 2 at City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303 starting on November 21, 2019. Successful completion of the two-hour class earns participants a certificate that serves as the documentation needed to absolve the ticket fine. In order to enroll, please RSVP.
*Exception: The November class will be on the third Thursday.
These free classes are provided with the support of the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
