The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition encourages people of all ages to experience the joys of biking and moving around the city without a car. In 2010 we launched our Atlanta Streets Alive initiative to share the experience of safe streets for all, and through the activation—as well as our 28-year history of advocacy—we have significantly advanced the mobility landscape in the city.
Today, we celebrate major milestones like reaching more than 1.4 million people and reclaiming 68 miles of city streets as car-free public space through Atlanta Streets Alive activations, securing 106 miles of bike lanes throughout the city, and leading the charge for the newly created Atlanta Department of Transportation. With a dedicated ATL DOT founded on safety and equity, we are primed to accomplish our goals more effectively in the years to come.
Join us in celebrating a fundamental shift in the city that we love. You’ll experience how the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition’s advocacy and programs are impacting the community, learn of opportunities to propel our shared goals, and raise a glass to the progress we've made together.
