Are you rethinking your commute? We hear you. People on bikes are happy; people in cars - not so much. More and more Atlanta residents are discovering the benefits of biking to work, to school, to do errands, or to get to MARTA. You get awesome exercise, you see cool things, you meet great people, you do good for Mother Earth. Basically, supplanting a few car trips with people-powered bicycle trips is just good news all around.
Let us help you hack your way of getting around. A life hack is a tool or technique that makes some aspect of your life easier or more efficient. Your ride leader, Stephen Spring, has been car-free, taking on the streets of DC, SF, Austin, and Atlanta by bicycle for three decades.
We will meet up, unpack your commute, then hit the city streets on a 45-minute ride from Gordon White Park to the West End MARTA then back. We'll get up in the Beltine too and end at the Lean Draft House for a bite to eat and to meet up with a bunch of more seasoned Bike Commuters of Atlanta who will talk both your ears off with tips on how to be a commuter on two wheels.
The RT Route: 3.0 gentle miles. Oh yeah, if you show up without a bike, know that we will have Relay bike shares for you to use.
Please arrive on time. We strongly recommend you bring your helmet, water, sunscreen, and a friend or three.
