Mission: Provide lights (free of cost) to any Atlantan who need them!
Lights are expensive, and not everyone can afford them. Project Glow is a new initiative aimed at ensuring that everyone who rides a bike at night, has front and rear lights to keep them safe.
When: Friday, November 4th
Where: Meet at Woodruff Park (91 Peachtree St NW, Atlanta, GA 30303) at 6pm. From there, you will join a route leader and ride with a small group of people to distribute lights (we'll provide) to bikers you encounter while riding who do not have lights. You will also stop at a designated nonprofit to deliver lights that they have requested for their clients. Your route will end at the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition office where the fun will continue with free beer, pizza, and glow sticks!
Who: This event is open to members only. Please be sure to join/renew ahead of time! Riders should be able to comfortably ride 3-8 miles at 10mph.
Why: Because finances should never prevent someone from arriving safely.
