The lottery for Atlanta’s E-Bike Rebate Program launches on Sunday, June 16 – that’s less than a month away. Interested in applying for one of the rebates to make your dream of e-assisted riding through Atlanta a reality? Read on.
What is the Atlanta E-Bike Rebate Program?
The program, the product of years of advocacy by Propel ATL, will give $800,000 in rebates to people purchasing e-bikes. Three-quarters of those funds will be set aside for people earning 80% or less of the Atlanta region’s median household income. The program is a partnership of Propel ATL, The Atlanta Regional Commission, and the City of Atlanta, and will launch June 16, 2024 and close June 23, 2024.
- Income-qualified residents are eligible to receive a $1,500 rebate for a standard e-bike and $2,000 for a cargo e-bike.
- Rebates for other residents are $500 for a standard e-bike and $1,000 for a cargo e-bike.
- Rebates are limited to one per resident and bikes must be purchased at a participating local bike shop.
- About 800 to 1,000 e-bikes are expected to be purchased through the rebate program.

- If you are selected, you will be required to provide proof of identity, age, and residency, with additional documentation requirements for income-qualified applicants.
- Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will receive a rebate code to use at participating Atlanta bike shops. A list of shops will be available on the website, as well as in your rebate code email. You will have 90 days to redeem the rebate.
