It’s just 17 days and counting to the return of Atlanta Streets Alive September 24th! What’s new? Get there earlier, the new hours are 1 PM – 5 PM, and final Streets Alive this fall is tentatively slated for Sunday, November 12th. Plus, the route will now extend from Mitchell Street SW to 15th Street NE. We can’t wait!
Bonus: The Westside Atlanta Streets Alive route was so popular the Upper Westside Improvement District is bringing it back too! Check out the Westside Stride open street festival on Sunday, October 29th from 12-6PM on Howell Mill Road.

Were you a diehard Atlanta Streets Aliver? Have you missed open streets in Atlanta? Then you probably know it's coming back to Peachtree Street monthly this fall!
We created this initiative back in 2010 and have been working to hand over its operations to the City of Atlanta since 2020.
Now, it’s time to relaunch Atlanta Streets Alive as a group project. We’ve been asked to support communications and marketing – and we need your help to spread the word and ensure the future success of open streets in our city!
We were recently approved to seek sponsors to pay for these activities by the Atlanta City Council, but with the first date coming fast September 24, for right now we're looking for Streets Alive superfans with communications and marketing skills to volunteer with our Atlanta Streets Alive communications team.
You’ll be part of a creative group collaborating to create social media posts and ads, design graphics, take photos, and make videos promoting the return of this beloved Atlanta thing.

2. Volunteer day of
We wouldn't be able to have Atlanta Streets Alive without amazing volunteers.
On the day of Atlanta Streets Alive events, we're looking for volunteers to help:
- Answer questions and share information with participants
- Assist with safe crossing banners at traffic crossing points
- Distribute surveys to participants
