Atlanta voters overwhelmingly supported the Renew Atlanta infrastructure bond in a special election on March 17, 2015.

Renew Atlanta allocated 13.2% of the bond, or more than $33 million, for complete streets projects. This marked a big win for building safer streets throughout the City of Atlanta! Last week the Technical Advisory Committee met for the first time - check out the progress made so far!

• Legislation to form the Renew Atlanta Technical Advisory Committee was introduced by Council Member At-large Mary Norwood and District 10 Councilmember C.T. Martin. The committee will meet monthly going forward and is chaired by Kim Parmer, a neighborhood leader from the Historic West End in Southwest Atlanta. Atlanta Bicycle Coalition Executive Director Rebecca Serna is the co-chair. The Committee will provide oversight and technical direction on the project list.  

• 21 resurfacing projects have already been completed, and $3.3 million has been spent.
