Neighborhood Transportation Leadership Program Q&A

Learn about the program. Find your way to participate.

Want safer crossings, better sidewalks, or transportation improvements in your neighborhood? Join Propel ATL to learn how the Neighborhood Transportation Leadership Program (NTLP) can help you work with neighbors to move those priorities forward.

No transportation, planning, or advocacy experience is required.

6:30–7:30 p.m. Eastern · Zoom

Meet Propel ATL staff, learn about the program, and ask questions before applying for leadership training or getting involved with your corridor team.

This information session replaces the October 29 gathering. The kickoff for selected leaders will take place December 16.

Two ways to participate

Become a corridor leader

Apply for a place in a small leadership training group for your corridor. Selected leaders will complete four trainings in January and February 2027 and help convene corridor team meetings beginning in March.

Training places are limited. No prior advocacy experience is required.

Join your corridor team

You do not need to complete leadership training to contribute. Share neighborhood concerns and local knowledge while leaders are training, then help choose priorities and take action with your team.

Regular corridor meetings are planned to begin in March 2027.

Expressing interest, attending this session, or applying does not guarantee a training place. Propel ATL will select participants based on alignment with the program’s purpose. Residents who are not selected can still participate in their corridor team.

What we’ll cover

  • The program’s goals and how corridor teams will work.
  • The training schedule and participation expectations.
  • How to apply and how participants will be selected.
  • Ways to contribute beyond the leadership training cohort.
  • Your questions about getting involved.

Building on Where’s My Project?

Our Where’s My Project? campaign continues to push for Atlanta’s promised sidewalks, safer crossings, bike lanes, and other safety projects.

New grant funding allows Propel ATL to provide training, tools, and ongoing coaching to support neighborhood teams. Trained leaders and corridor team members will work together to advance promised projects and address neighborhood transportation priorities.
