Get ready to join the pedal-powered revolution sweeping through Atlanta! With more and more people riding bikes for fitness, commuting, and exploring the city, it's time for you to learn how to ride a bike!

This class is designed for true beginners and participants 18 years of age and under. The class will be in partnership with Bearings Bike Works but has been opened up to other children.  They will have helmets for participants to use, but if you have them, please bring them! They will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, please bring your own bike if you have one for greater comfort. If you do not have one, you may use one of the bikes provided by Bearings. 

Please do not include yourself ( parent ) in the rsvp so that we may have a more accurate count.

Fundamentals

• Brakes

• Balance

• Coast

• Pedal

• Stop

• Power start

Safety essentials

• Road rules (bike as a vehicle)

• Safe riding practices

• What to carry

Due to high demand and limited classes, please sign up if you know you are able to attend, or cancel your reservation as soon as possible to open up the class to other participants. 

We'll meet at Bearings Bike Works, located at Retail, 982 B - Programs & Offices, 982 Murphy Ave SW 982 A, Atlanta, GA 30310. 

Please note that for participants under 18, a parent or guardian must accompany them throughout the entire class.
