Neighborhood Transportation Leadership Program
Turn a Transportation Concern Into Community Action
Do you notice the missing sidewalk, unsafe crossing, unreliable bus stop, disconnected bike route, or delayed street project in your neighborhood?
Propel ATL’s Neighborhood Transportation Leadership Program helps Atlanta residents develop the skills, knowledge, and relationships needed to organize around local transportation priorities.
No transportation, planning, or advocacy experience is required.
What Participants Will Do
Participants will receive training, tools, coaching, and support to:
- Understand how transportation decisions and projects move
- Conduct walk audits and document street conditions
- Gather community stories and concerns
- Track transportation projects
- Organize neighbors around a shared priority
- Communicate with agencies and decision-makers
Program Commitment
The first in-person kickoff meeting will be held on October 29, 2026.
Training and neighborhood activities will continue through summer 2027. Participants should be willing to learn, collaborate with their neighbors, and remain involved throughout the program.
Who Should Express Interest?
We are looking for Atlanta residents who care about transportation and want to help improve their communities. We especially encourage renters, transit riders, seniors, people with disabilities, caregivers, parents, young adults, and informal neighborhood leaders to express interest or be recommended.
You do not need to hold an official neighborhood position. You only need a willingness to learn and work with others.
